Our Association
Christ Reformed Baptist Church is a part of the Southern California Association of Reformed Baptist Churches (SCARBC).
The association holds to the inerrant and infallible Word of God as found in the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments in the Holy Bible (this being our only source of faith and practice), and embraces and adopts the London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689 as the most accurate expression of that system of doctrine taught in the Bible. That Confession is the doctrinal statement and position (Strict Subscription) of the Association.
The Constitution of the SCARBC says this: “An Association consists of particular churches who have agreed to associate together at stated times, to obey the Word of God, to promote their own interests and the good of common causes found among them.”

So, what is “reformed” about a Reformed Baptist church? Quite simply, this just means that we trace our theological heritage back to the Reformation of the 16th century. The Reformers particularly emphasized five Biblical truths:
1) Scripture Alone – The Bible is the only authoritative source of saving truth, not tradition or the teaching of mere men.
2) Faith Alone – We can be saved only through faith, believing and trusting in what Jesus has done for us, not by our own good works.
3) Grace Alone - Salvation is a free gift of God’s grace, received through faith, and cannot be earned by anything we do.
4) Christ Alone – Jesus’ work is all we need for our salvation; it doesn’t need to be supplemented by us or by any other human on our behalf.
5) Glory to God Alone – Because we cannot do anything for or add anything to our salvation, God alone deserves all of the credit for it.
More fully, we hold to the Second London Confession of Faith of 1689 because we believe it to be a faithful summary of the primary teachings of Scripture.
